BJIM Condemns Killing of Journalists amid Israel-Iran Conflict
Bangladeshi Journalists in International Media (BJIM) expresses grave concern over the killing of at least four journalists and media personnel amid the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict.

According to credible media reports, targeted Israeli strikes have destroyed multiple newsrooms in Tehran, including one during a live broadcast, resulting in the tragic deaths of journalists and media workers.

We mourn the loss of our colleagues and strongly reiterate our demand for the highest standard of safety and protection for journalists working worldwide, especially in conflict zones.

BJIM calls for an impartial, international investigation to determine why media establishments were targeted. Those responsible must be held accountable under international law.

We stand in unwavering solidarity with our fellow journalists reporting from danger zones, including Tehran, Gaza, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Donetsk, Kharkiv, and elsewhere, where press freedom and journalist safety remain under severe threat.
