MARZIA MOMO
Marzia is an investigative journalist specializing in human rights and extrajudicial killings.
She currently serves as a reporter for Netra News, where her work focuses on critical issues such as the persecution of Indigenous communities in Bangladesh and abuses of power by law enforcement and military personnel.
Her work has been published by the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, among others.
Marzia is an OCCRP, Earth Journalism Network, GIJN, and CNN Academy Fellow. She served as a contributor to DW Akademie and mentored for AAJA-Asia’s Student Reporting Mentorship Program 2024.
She is also a member of the Oxford Climate Journalism Network. Her work has been acknowledged with several accolades, including the UNESCO Award in 2021.
Notably, she is the first BJIM Fellow to be inducted as a BJIM Member.
