Maksuda Aziz is a multiple award-winning specialist in mobile journalism and social media news analytics.

She won environmental journalism award by Deutsche Welle and German Federal Foreign Office in 2021 for producing a single-device story. She is also one of the top five finalists in the MoJo Fest 2020.

Maksuda was an independent journalist working with Mongabay and Deutsche Welle before leaving for New York University to pursue higher education now experimenting with news AI.

She represented BJIM as an environmental journalist at UNESCO's World Press Freedom Day 2024 event in Santiago.

​

Maksuda is a reputed media trainer with the DW Akademie and previously she worked with BBC Media Action.

​

She has contributed to enable the country's most popular daily Prothom Alo's mobile journalism department.
