Jibon Ahmed is a celebrated photographer who began his career in 2009 as a freelancer. He is currently affiliated with Radio Free Asia's Benar News.

He transitioned into photojournalism in 2014, where his work quickly gained attention for its powerful storytelling and
impact.

 

In 2022, Jibon won the maiden Bangladesh Press Photo Contest in the category of public interest journalism, a testament to his dedication and skill in capturing compelling narratives.

 

Beyond his work in journalism, Jibon is also recognised for his humanitarian efforts, using his photography to bring attention to social issues.

 

In addition to photography, he has expanded his talents into cinematography, excelling in multimedia journalism. Jibon also works at local tabloid daily Manabzamin.
